Excellent question because single women usually have a little extra time to spare,and no immediate family to spend time with. I can also see where home Bible study wouldn't be a safe way to start, by allowing strangers in your home. Safe scenic walking areas around here are hard to find, maybe a park though couldn't suggest which one. To answer both questions, maybe just set a start date to meet in a public place like at Target or C C's Pizza.

Your church should have bible study groups. And you could post a notice at church asking people to call you if they would like to start walking with you. If you don't have a church, find one. I am a Baptist and it is my experience that Baptist's are very friendly and willing to try all sorts of things.
