I just want to know which study Bible you prefer, that is easy to help one spirtually and build up the faith. They both seem great, what are your views on these study bibles or any other study bibles that a 16-18 year old would be interested in.
Quest Study Bible or Faith in Action Study Bible?
KJV is the best Bible......
Reply:Those are both excellent excellent Bibles. I'd suggest Life Application over either though =) NASB at that. Living Faith NLT might also be bullseye for what you're asking about. Report Abuse
Reply:I have been using a K.J..V. study Bible for quite awhile
I've used other Bibles but I like the K.J.V.
Reply:King James that way you can use a Strong's concordance and take the words back to the Hebrew or Greek. Bullinger made a king James bible with a "side column" on the side with figures of speech, idoms etc. Love it!
The Companion Bible by E.W. Bullinger is the best study bible ever made.

This popular study Bible is now available in an enlarged type edition. Notes and helps by E. W. Bullinger include 198 appendixes, explanations of Hebrew words and their uses, charts, parallel passages, maps, lists of proper names, calendars, and helpful timelines.
Reply:Can't remark on the two Bible studies you mentioned. There are many good ones out there. Just about anything the Navigators put out is good.
There are 2 excellent Study Bibles I can recommend.
1. The "NIV Study Bible" is my favorite. Its written in an easy to read style and is accurate (close to the Greek) enough for Bible study. It has maps, time lines, a fair concordance and subject index, and an abundance of study notes.
2. The "Ryrie Study Bible" is my next choice. It comes in NIV, NASB, and KJV. It has the above named features, with the exception that the study notes are Dr, C. C. Ryrie's personal study notes. Plus, it has very good outlines.
There are others, but these two are my favorites. If you choose the Ryrie, you may want the NASB translation. Its a little more difficult to read than the NIV, but is closest to the Greek than any other modern translation. I do not recommend the KJV unless you are already used to reading it. Its good, but difficult to read, and some of the words it used have changed in meaning. You may need an older dictionary with it.
