How many Atheist are willing to study the bible and be saved?

I hope many.

How many Atheist are willing to study the bible and be saved?
This is bull $hit! Report Abuse

Reply:Saved from what? Their social life?
Reply:Actually quite a few atheists have studied the bible. They have just come to different conclusions than you have. And being saved implies that they believe in Christianity in the first place. Why not offer them imaginary ice cream cones for studying the bible while you're at it?
Reply:oh please stop

They don't want to change for the same reason you don't want to change your beliefs, just let them be, respect them, and love them, and pray for the people you can't change, in your heart SILENTLY

I'm not even Atheist and I'm on their side

I gave every atheist answer a thumbs up

I was a Christian, was even "saved" as a kid

was even a Mormon for few years

But now I know better, but not quite atheist
Reply:I'd wager the number of atheists who are "willing" to let a mythical being "save" them is equal to the number of Christians who are "willing" to let Luke Skywalker or Quetzalcoatl "save" them.
Reply:Tough concept to grasp, eh?
Reply:Oh God, save me. Save me first. Send me the bible. I deserve to be saved before any atheist.
Reply:Read cover to cover, and found many passages to be abhorrent.
Reply:I'm not willing to study the Bible. I am willing to have discussions with very sophisticated theists and deists. I'm having a discussion with a very sophisticated deist at the moment who is proficient in debate, english, math, and an array of other things. Though we disagree we don't argue to win each other over, we discuss it to find the fundamental disagreement. Only then can persuation occur.
Reply:Is this a trick question? Just kidding. Saved from what? From Whom?
Reply:If only it were that easy. Jesus and every other Bible writer says that Jesus (or the Lord) will reward us according to our works, not that we could deserve the reward on our own.
Reply:I've read the Bible. Questionable plot, poor character development, wouldn't make a great movie.

Don't need to be saved.
Reply:JLook, I´m all ready to study some other religion, but not christianity. I know it far too well.

Too full of ****, if there is an ounce of truth in this world it is not in the bible.
Reply:How many so-call Christians are willing to study the Bible and become Atheists?

Don't read the Bible for its moral code. It advocates prejudice, cruelty, superstition and murder. Read it because the world needs more atheists.
Reply:Wow, good answers people, very good.

Yea so I read the old testament once or twice....it is one of the reasons I am "atheist". Gods only exist in fiction, as you christians would tell me Zeus wasn't real, but I bet the people back then believed in it, before the bad *** christ stepped in and had a better show in town. Sure, Jesus walked on water, but David Blane can float.
Reply:I'm willing to study the Bible, not right now as there's a bit too much on my plate, but one day I hope to read all of it. But then I also hope to read the Koran, and learn more about Hinduism and Budhhism. It's nice to know what people believe in, and gives you a better understanding of people and world cultures.

However, since I used to be Catholic I had large chunks of the Bible drummed into me from a young age. I didn't feel like I was being saved, just being restricted from learning about other religions. I do not think I need to be saved, and certainly that the Bible or Christianity will save me. Primarily because you suggest that I need saving. Are you saying I am inherently bad or wrong? I appreciate that all people are merely human and prone to mistakes but I refuse to believe that my very existence is based in 'sin' or wrongness.
Reply:i have studied the bible, and im agnostic.why do you people put so much stock into something that was written by PEOPLE?even if the original bible, from the mouth of god,was real, dont you think people would have manipulated it to satisfy their own needs and agendas?
Reply:How many Christians are willing to study "The Lord of the Rings" and become a Hobbit?
Reply:How many Christians are willing to study grammar and be saved?
Reply:oh boy the BS guy.

I am not willing to study the bible or be saved by you or your stupid followers...

In fact I think I will take my chances by myself.
Reply:I've studied the bible and it's exactly what made me an atheist! Why do you guys always think that reading that awful book will change us?
Reply:So far, the answer is NONE, ZERO, ZILTCH, NIL. Nobody wants saving. CAPIZ?
Reply:I did for many years. Never again. The hell that was my life because of xianity is gone forever.
Reply:Im willing to study the bible but only to increase my general knowledge - a book wont save you (not that I need to be saved from anything)
Reply:"Properly read, the Bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived." — Isaac Asimov.
Reply:I dont think I am suffering right now.
Reply:I've read and studied the Bible twice...

....and there's not a helluva lot in there that can save anybody.
Reply:The only thing they should try to save when thumping their bibles at me would be their breath.

Don't kid yourselves, Christian Soldiers. My heart belongs to Zeus.
Reply:Going by your name of 'no bullsh!t' shouldn't you be an atheist?

You people just don't seem to get that almost all of us pagans and atheists have read %26amp; studied the bible, gone to church and alot are also ex-christians.

EDIT: Seeing as i don't have a problem not believing in god/jesus, and being Wiccan, and YOU'RE the one with the problem, who asked YOU?
Reply:I've studied the Bible.

Didn't save me, it just made me dislike your religion even more.
Reply:Why should we?

Such an ignorant question...

I have a greater chance being saved by studying the pamphlets published by my local fire brigade.

Still shaking my head...
