Pretty basic, so it can be understood, but yet a specific enough topics so its not just something they hear every week. Age group is teenagers.
What are some topics that can be used for a bible study?
I tried topics once and had a mixed reaction. Mainly is that everyone who speaks to teens feels like they have to say the same things, and the teens in turn feel like they have to ingnore another lecture with someone speaking down to them.
Then I tried taking a book of the Bible and going through it verse by verse with them, Q %26amp;A, really studying it WITH THEM.
We have visitors, people were saved, and the best average attendance every in our 1 year with them.
I know it is not what you were looking for, but just a thought.

Reply:I know that I learned a lot when I could relate to the people of the bible..I would take and do Character studies myself..so that they can see how they are not that different from the people of the bible and how God still loved them with all their imperfections.
Reply:Use a concordance and a Bible dictionary and look up topics pertaining to keeping ones self pure before marriage, or not defiling ones body with illegal substances etc.
Reply:Study the origin of religion and it's role in society.
Reply:give them something exciting like David and Goliath, loads of good blood and guts stories in there.
Reply:The Bible is a good book but it's not the only book what is a good study that you do research separate the myths from the truth
Reply:To help you understand the bible better simple defination of words is a good start.Terms change from generation to generation what is called one thing in a certain time frame could change and be called something different later.
here are a few suggestions: HELL, Hades,Sheol,Death, Soul,Resurrection.
