Gods thoughts on living together (even if there is no sex), but yes, sex before marriage, and also, things to deal with fear?
I am a new and struggling Christian, so please send prayers my way and feel free to IM me as well :)
thanks so much
What is a good bible study for me and my fiance? Also, what areas of the bible should i study to learn about..
Dear one - there is an awesome computer tool that I use - and it is available for free on the Net:
http://www.e-sword.net
It is a program with multiple translations of the Bible and dictionaries, commentaries, maps, etc.
I plug in a single word into the search engine and it pulls up all the verses that have to do with that word - so you can seek revelation on a particular topic and get guidance to areas of study you may not have previously thought about.
It is a BIG help - go check it out.
For example: "Purity" in the Good News Bible:
(Proverbs 22:11 GNB) If you love purity of heart and graciousness of speech, the king will be your friend.
(1st Corinthians 5:8 GNB) Let us celebrate our Passover, then, not with bread having the old yeast of sin and wickedness, but with the bread that has no yeast, the bread of purity and truth.
(2nd Corinthians 6:6 GNB) By our purity, knowledge, patience, and kindness we have shown ourselves to be God's servants---by the Holy Spirit, by our true love,
(1st Timothy 4:12 GNB) Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but be an example for the believers in your speech, your conduct, your love, faith, and purity.
(1st Timothy 5:2 GNB) the older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters, with all purity.
And additional verses can be found by changing translations.
I hope this helps hon.
Peace.

Reply:Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. First of all and very important, we will not use struggling Christian. 1 Cor. 2:9 says, but as it is written, eye have not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. If you love God you should not have a problem keeping all his commandments. Remember,BOYS PLAY HOUSE, MEN BUILD THEM. BOYS SHACK UP, MEN WILL MARRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It appears to me that you already know that God honors holy union. It says in his word marriage is honorable and the bed is undefiled. Hebrews 13:4 the way you start out with a man that is the way you will end up with him. Remember those who fear God are the faithful. Luke1:50 and 18:4. you are a convert, it will appear strange at first, but always pray. Prayer is the most powerful tool we have as God's elite. We are his children and as his we are to separate ourselves from the world. We are to be unspotted from the world. James 1:27 You must have a daily walk with him. You must present your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Rom. 12:9. R U willing to make a sacrifice of abstinence? if not God is not the one for you. So be real to yourself first. Sin is sin. Shacking up is a sin. Oral sex outside of marriage is a sin. Sex is a game that God has created and he is the only one that can play it. Trust me, I know. I was living in sin, shot a man, paralyzed this man in self-defense, but if i had lived right, I would not be so far behind today. Stop it. If you are having reservations about this relationship, get out quietly and don't look back, for you may not be as blessed as i am to have escaped a 25 year sentence for attempted murder in the first degree a lie. But hey two wrongs don,t make it right. I was innocent of crime, but not sin. sex and lies lead to deceit and deeper degradation. Read the jail section of the newspaper everyday domestic violence is increasing. Please look, listen, and live. God is the answer, not man. You will not have a concrete marriage if both of you are not saved. Too risky. Seek prayer and continue to ask questions because knowledge is the beggining of wisdom. I believe in marriage. But the book of 1 Cor. 7 tells all. I hope that I have shed light on this beautiful path you have chosen. Seek God first and all these things shall be added unto you.Matt 6:33 Bless You I will Pray with you and for you.

Reply:Get yourself a New International Version (NIV) Study Bible. It is a very good and readable translation. There are tons of notes explaining things. There is also an easy to use concordance. You look up a word that interests you, say "love," and it will list every single verse in the Bible that has that word in it. You can also get the NIV on CD Rom.
Reply:you should pray and ask God for direction. Read ephesian 6, colosians 3;18-25, there are many other passages. also read corithians.
