What is a better Study Bible? The Ryrie Study Bible or the thompson's chain Study Bible? for a NKJV bible?

What is a better Study Bible? The Ryrie Study Bible or the thompson's chain Study Bible? for a NKJV bible?
I prefer the NIV Study Bible. Simple language for my simple mind. Just remember they are all versions and you may need to look at several versions to get a better understanding of the same verse (or passage.) I also like the ASV, Max Lucado edition. (He didn't edit the Bible, he edited the comments.) It's not a study bible but offers thought provoking ideas throughout.
