Bible Study Homework?

Ok so...Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible...but at the end of the fifth book it says...and he buried Moses...since Moses couldn't write about himself who wrote the end of the fifth book?

Bible Study Homework?
Deuteronomy 34:8  And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.

9  And JOSHUA the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.

Joshua wrote the last few verses of Deuteronomy.
Reply:If Moses wrote the 1st five books of the Bible, where did he get the information from? Do you know what the first five books looks like in clay tablets?
Reply:Joshua
Reply:Well, since it says in Chapter 34, verse 9 that Joshua was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him, I believe Joshua wrote the end of the fifth book under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

the above link will help you out.
Reply:Which verse in the Bible do you refer to when you say Moses wrote the first five books?

2 Timothy 3:15-17 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Reply:Most Biblical literary scholars agree with the Documentary Hypothesis that the "Books of Moses" are composed primarily of writings by four different sources, none of whom is Moses.

These writings are interspersed throughout the five books, and grouped together (by a later editor) by subject matter, rather than by source or by chronological order of their writing. This is one explanation for why there are two, fundamentally different, creation stories in Genesis, for example.

They are identified as:

Y (or J) for "Yahwist" - based on the name YHWH (or JHVH) used for God. Written c. 950 BC

E for "Elohist" - used the name "Elohim." Written c. 850 BC

D for "Deuteronomist" - wrote most of that book, plus a few other passages. Written c. 621 BC

P for "Priestly" - concerned with law and the priesthood. Written c. 450 BC

The later editor is known as "R" for "Redactor". This editor is who actually composed the Pentateuch.
Reply:It was Joshua who who wrote the last part. Moses laid his hands on him and Joshua was divinely inspired.
