When studying the bible for yourself, you need to remember that God's revelation to mankind was progressive, ie he revealed more and more of Himself, of His truth, and of his plan for mankind as time went on. For instance, during the Acts period the Jewish people were very much first in Gods plan. Today this is no longer the case, as all races are the same.


One of the main reasons for all the confusion that is in Christianity today is that people take truth from one period and try to apply it to another. We know that God is the same yesterday, today and forever, but the way He deals with mankind has changed progressively and that is important in understanding the scriptures.

Reply:Just go on line and type in Bible studies and you will get a bunch of links to go to. I have used many different study sites to prepare for small group study. May God bless you and guide you to a good bible teaching church. and for a good book; the Bible is the best you can read, I prefer the N.I.V. version but that is your chose.
