What are some good scriptures to go over in Bible Study?

Gosh - it depends - I love to start new believers reading the gospels - that gives them a good perspective on the life of Christ.

If you're more learned - dig into either the beginnings (Genesis through Exodus) or even the prophets. Samuel is great - Kings is great.

If you want a challenge - hit Daniel then Revelation. You'll be in for a treat there.

But if you're starting out - try to dig into why you (everyone in study with you) believe the way you do and how to defend your faith when asked. Put on the armor of God.

What are some good scriptures to go over in Bible Study?
If you're a new Christian how about the Book of Matthew,or Genesis that's where I started when I first got saved.

The first scripture God ever revealed to me was Gen. 14:18

And Melchizedek king of Salem (Jesus before he was born pretty cool) brought forth bread and wine: and he WAS the priest of the most high God.

Gen. 14:19

And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God,which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

This is also the first time tithes was paid, which is a very important, we should not steal from God if you do it's like putting your money in a bag full of holes. But if you tithe God will open the windows of Heaven and pour you out a blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.
Reply:Romans 8:28

God causes all things to work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to His purpose.

Enjoy your study!

Reply:Don't just cherry-pick scriptures.

Either pick a topic and find passages that relate to the topic, or take a book of the Bible and do a study of the whole book.
Reply:Discuss and explain what this means:

John 10:16
Reply:1 Corinthians 13:4-7 or the whole thing, its the love passage. you know love is patient love is kind...
