How do i cite information from the Bible?

I'm writing a research paper and i want to use some verses from the Bible, how do i cite it correctly? Parts of what i want to use are from a study Bible and are not actual verses.

God Bless!!!

How do i cite information from the Bible?
rachell12 is right, but you might also want to put the bible you are citing from, like NIV (New International Version), KJV (King James Version) insider of the parenthesis as well. Like: God is Loving (John 23:2 NIV) Not an actual bible verse, sorry.

I learned this when I was a legal steno and had to type lots and lots of motions with cites from law books. Yuck!
Reply:and God said, "__________"

who is really going to argue with that
Reply:Put the quotes from the bible in perentases (thats not spelled right, but dont judge) then site the section, chapter, line.

For example, (not a real verse but wateva)

"God is always loving", John 2:35.
Reply:You could use the internet, just type in the verse...if you know the book of the bible it comes from, type that in as well...and you'll get some responses...
Reply:yes
