Is Bible Study just another name for Bible Brainwashing?

It's not rocket science or are Christians just dumb to get sucked into a cult?





Although calling it B.S. seems quite fitting.

Is Bible Study just another name for Bible Brainwashing?
Shouldn't you be asking your questions under another category? Like ... Judgment and Superiority?
Reply:yes thats how the brainwashing starts then its down hill after that praying going to church then the priests are after you then you are paying the priest wages then you are covering up for the priest because he is mesing with the alter boys thats you are sucked in some times by the priest

It contains most of the great literary styles; poetry, historical narrative, drama and instruction.





2. The Bible is a History Book.


It has been proven to be historically accurate in it's portrayal of events, no other book from the old world has survived to the present with such integrity.





3. In 1992 a satellite called COBE -Cosmic Background Explore collected data that PROVED the universe began with a single burst of pure energy.





4. A noted Scholar (scholars usually dismiss the Bible) wrote:


There exists no document from the ancient world witnessed by so excellent a set of textual and historical testimonies and offering so superb an array of historical data on which an intelligent decision may be made. An honest Person cannot dismiss a source of this kind. Skepticism regarding the historical credentials of Christianity is based upon irrational bias.








Now if you want to talk about cults brainwashing people, these would be more likely to be; Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, and groups like those that are more uniformed in appearance when out in public, IF out in public.

Bible study is a chance you have to open the Bible and read it for yourself, and study it, and ponder on it.
Reply:If the bible is wrong, if all was not perfect to Eden, 2 humans and an angel sin against their life giver, Luke 20:34-36; Angels do not die, Job 38:4-7; Angels saw earth become a focus for habitation. Billions in time had been, then earth to Eden and all LOST, WILL THERE BE TIME FOR ALL TO BE SAVED? The bible says YES.





John 17:3,5,14; Jesus that was born in Rome #6 Empire was with God before the world was.


John 3:16; 20:17; He and his Father God want all to Be SAVED back to the perfect it was before Eden, if he destroyed all, we all would not be here for a chance at SALVATION into the original plan.





So if the bible is wrong, there is nothing. 70 years of a temporary life full of trouble and nothing else. IS THIS WHAT WE ARE TO BE BRAINWASHED INTO AGAINST THIS BOOK?





I have a choice to read my bible and decide for my self.





It is not a cult.





It is not religion.





It is the history of all we see and know.





It is for people like me that need to know Adam, to the 10th son, to the 20th son in genealogy of Jesus Matt.1:1-17; to the next 42 sons, to all the judges, to all the priest, to all the king line people, to all the kings, to all the prophets, to all the apostles and disciples, to all the stories about all the bible people.
Reply:A proper exposure to God and religion can help to counteract the real brainwashing that popular culture is constantly throwing at all of us in books, movies, TV, songs, advertisements, and even video games.





Even if your proposition is partially true, religion runs a distant second to the brainwashing of popular culture.





Popular culture is constantly bombarding us with intensive, not-so-forcible indoctrination, aimed at setting up worldly convictions and attitudes.





Popular culture comes at us from all directions including books, movies, TV, songs, advertisements, video games and even the Internet.





A few of the these immoral values include:


- Lust and Sex (outside of marriage)


- A disrespect for God and religion


- A disrespect for lawful authority


- A disrespect for our human dignity


- Envy, greed and consumerism


- Anger and Violence


- Drugs including smoking and alcohol


- Vanity, outside is more important than inside


- Prejudice and hate





I think that if we expose our children to all this immorality without the moral anchor of God and religion until they can come to a conclusion of their own then we would be unwise, irresponsible, and frequently too late.

Reply:Brainwashing is the act of someone trying to change anothers thinking, Bible studies are self imposed attempts to understand God's word and how to live according to it.


Rocket Science is like trying to understand a doorknob as compared to understanding who God is and His awe inspiring presence in peoples lives. If that seems to be too big of a challenge for you then just keep studying the doorknob, you may eventually find something.
