Don't just read it sit down,read a little then ask yourself what does it mean ? A bible with study aids,such as a glossary,and Concordance will help greatly.When in a group or in Church,never just listen,but follow along in the Bible yourself.If you have been saved ask God for help.Never question God ,but don't be afraid to ask God questions.More than any earthly father he wants to help.He will help.
I'm not trying to push any faith or doctrine,but a Scofield is a good study Bible.
