Any bible read with good intent will inspire you. I recommend the New Testament in modern language. You'd think someone would be handing them out, eh?

Reply:Do not ask Jehovah's witness. They teach the bible with their own translation, not what you need. You need God's actual Word, not theirs.


Try the bible study "Experiencing God", I found it very interesting, and it taught me alot about myself and God.

them about their free home Bible study program. They will


do this at your convenience, fromm 5 min to an hour once a


week. You don't have to pay anything and you don't have to


make a commitment to become one of them. But they will


teach you the basics and help you to know your Bible better.

people say a lot of negative things about Jehovah's Witnesses,


they know the Bible and will do their best to answer your

Reply:Bible study is an exercise in self-discipline: any formulaic study or program will only serve to retard your growth in Christ. All such courses with which I am familiar are designed to advance the ideology of a particular religion, and are therefore corrupt.





The chief problem with most such courses is that they seek to redefine God in the image of man, which is the only way that they can maintain the claim that *everything* ascribed to God in the Bible is the truth about God.





As you grow in Christ, you will come to appreciate that some of the things ascribed to God are blasphemous against God; as you study, you'll find that some Scriptures contradict others, so that both cannot logically be true.





And that's where you will find your character tested: you have to decide which is true of God, you have to determine for yourself what He really said -- and in some cases, what He meant by what He said, and whether there are common-sense exceptions.





The Bible seldom records, verbatim, God's statement with respect to any particular issue -- and even when It does, the principles of conversational language apply.





For instance, God gave man common sense before God gave man the Law. Therefore, God obviously intended that man would use common sense to apply and to imterpret the Law -- but man chose instead to make for himself an idol of the Law.





Social pressures and prejudice accounts for the fact that the hardest things to accept about God are (at least, in my opinion) the things that are truest about God.





When you realize that God made the human body to enjoy sex, that God doesn't care about your sexual orientation or how many or how few people with whom you have sex (though He obviously wants each person at some point in their respective lives to enjoy sex),





when you realize that laws affecting consensual sexuality are the invention of man, who has for thousands of years used such devices in both secular and religious government to subjugate and oppress both individuals and groups;





when you understand that Christianity is internally communist and externally socialist; when you realize that the tithe is a luxury tax and not a duty for payment charged against each person;





when you appreciate that you have complete moral authority to oversee the distribution of church funds -- and individual responsibility in the event of their misuse;





when you reach the conclusion that fraud is among the worst of possible offenses against another person or group, and that violence is its own reward --





you will be ready to begin your journey: until then, everything is to prepare you.

do exactly the same for your brain,feed your brain with a balanced cross section of stimulation which includes reading other books that do not have the same view as the bible, that way you can always make an informed choice,instead of one that is dogmatic, good luck LF
