Hey I am starting a bible study for teenage girls can you help me find a verse?

I need a verse about how girls are not supposed to minister to men. This would be in the context of girls trying to save a guy they like.

Hey I am starting a bible study for teenage girls can you help me find a verse?
It says they should not teach men in the church.

Women can preach to men on the outside, but to prevent any problems, only fellow men should hold Bible studies with other men.

So the girls can talk to boys about God, but when the boy wants to hold deep discussions about it on a regular basis, another guy can do that.
Reply:I don't think you are going to find one. All people are to try to bring a lost person to God. Be careful what you teach in your class that it is really biblical. You don't want to stifle someone from leading someone to Jesus.
Reply:Many so called Christian Girls..... have a Messiah Complex !

Especially when they are Dating Non-Believers..... in direct Violation of the Word..... 1Corinthians 6:14-t0-18.

Titus 2:3-4-5 can be applied to your situation. AND.....

(1Ti 2:11) Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

(1Timothy 2:12-to-15) But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

(1Ti 2:13) For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

(1Ti 2:14) And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

(1Ti 2:15) Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

....AND....

(Pro 30:20) Such [is] the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.

Thanks, RR
Reply:"When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again. But he is not allowed to sell her to foreigners, since he is the one who broke the contract with her. And if the slave girl's owner arranges for her to marry his son, he may no longer treat her as a slave girl, but he must treat her as his daughter. If he himself marries her and then takes another wife, he may not reduce her food or clothing or fail to sleep with her as his wife. If he fails in any of these three ways, she may leave as a free woman without making any payment." (Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)

34 As in all the congregations of the saints, 34women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.
Reply:I don't think there's a verse specifically to help you, but I see what you're trying to say. You don't want a girl getting into a relationship where she thinks she's going to "fix" the guy.

I've never in my life heard of this working out, whether in religion or drunkenness or stinginess or gambling away. It doesn't work for guys either (unless he's a complete abuser).

The one verse that might work is

"Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14

That definitely applies in marriage where you're "yoked" as partners, but the other half isn't carrying the same spritual "weight."

Best of luck.
Reply:that verse shouldnt apply, at all. anybody can minister to anybody. if youre trying to empower young women, then find another verse.
Reply:Are we talking about so-called "missionary dating" where a girl will date a non-Christian and justify it to herself by saying that she might be able to convert him? If so, you could try 2 Corinthians 6:14 (Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.) If that's your topic there's also an interesting article about this at http://www.christiananswers.net/q-dml/dm...

If you're meaning that women are not supposed to have authority over men, then try Genesis 3:16 (Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.) and 1 Timothy 2:12-14 (But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man...)

Hope this helps, and may God bless your efforts.
Reply:You're kidding, you're going to teach girls not to minister to men? No wonder so many young women turn to Wicca.
Reply:This is beyond pathetic.

Save a guy they like? What, from drowning? Is that really how some people flirt?

What world do you people live in?

There is nothing of value in the Bible, especially for girls.
Reply:narrow is the gate.......
Reply:Pick any one but they are a bit tough. THe below ref is a challenge for men and women

1 CORINTHIANS

11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman [is] the man; and the head of Christ [is] God.

11:6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover [his] head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

11:8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

11:9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

11:10 For this cause ought the woman to have a covering on her head, as a sign that she is under the power of her husband because of the angels.

11:11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

11:12 For as the woman [is] of the man, even so [is] the man also by the woman; but all things by God.

11:13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him (if he is not a Nazarite - Numbers 6:2)?

11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for [her] hair is given her for a covering.

1 TIMOTHY

2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided or plaited hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

2:10 But (which becometh women professing Godliness) with good works.

2:11 Let the woman learn in SILENCE with all subjection.

2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to USURP authority over the man, but TO BE IN SILENCE.

2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety (ie not the usual human female emotion)

GENESIS

3:16 Unto the woman He said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire [shall be subject] to thy husband, and HE SHALL RULE OVER THEE.

3:17 And unto Adam He said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I COMMANDED thee, saying, Thou shalt NOT eat of it: cursed [is] the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat [of] it all the days of thy life (Eno. 96:12-13);

KORAN

2:228. Divorced women shall wait concerning themselves for three monthly periods. Nor is it lawful for them to hide what God hath created in their wombs, if they have faith in God and the Last Day. And their husbands have the better right to take them back in that period, if they wish for reconciliation. And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree (of advantage) over them. And God is Exalted in Power, and in Wisdom.

4:34. Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because God has given the one more (strength) than the other, and because they support them from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient, and guard in (the husband's) absence what God would have them guard. As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly); but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance): for God is Most High, great (above you all).
Reply:Of coarse women are to minister to men! What are you talking about? Do you even know what the biblical word for minister means?

Diakonos

Definition

one who executes the commands of another, esp. of a master, a servant, attendant, minister

the servant of a king

a deacon, one who, by virtue of the office assigned to him by the church, cares for the poor and has charge of and distributes the money collected for their use

a waiter, one who serves food and drink

We are all to be ministers of each other. Furthermore I think this scipture in principle shows the error of your thinking.

1 Cor. 7:12-16

But to the rest I say, not the Lord, that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he must not divorce her.

And a woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he consents to live with her, she must not send her husband away.

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy.

Yet if the unbelieving one leaves, let him leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace.

For how do you know , O wife, whether you will save your husband ? Or how do you know , O husband, whether you will save your wife ?

In principle the woman at least by her conduct and her speach could save her husband therefore the young woman could save her boyfriend.

One of your answerers quoted 1 Cor 14. The word translated in the King James as woman literally in the Greek refered to wives only and as is pointed out in later passages a wife should not usurp the authority of her husband, in church. At home, all bets are off. I can't tell you how many times my wife has kept her mouth shut at church only to let me have it when we got home with both barrels for something I have said or done that was perhaps out of line. This is simply respect which Paul tells a wife to give her husband.
Reply:Hmm. Sexism right there, folks.

Edit: It is sexism! If women shouldn't minister to men, men shouldn't minister to women! Equality, people!
Reply:God will use any man or woman that will do his will.

Is is not for us to question or teach otherwise.

It is your opinion,I suggest you teach the word of God,and not the word of your convictions.

Now if you meant girls saving themselves for marriage..

Along with all other kinds of sexual immorality, sex before marriage / premarital sex is repeatedly condemned in Scripture (Acts 15:20; Romans 1:29; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 6:13,18; 7:2; 10:8; 2 Corinthians 12:21; Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 5:3; Colossians 3:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Jude 7). The Bible promotes abstinence before marriage. Sex before marriage is just as wrong as adultery and other forms of sexual immorality, because they all involve having sex with someone you are not married to. Sex between a husband and his wife is the only form of sexual relations that God approves of (Hebrews 13:4).
Reply:Way back when I had a Sunday school teacher who tried to preach that "women are inferior to men because the bible says so, so submit and be meek and mild and just stand there and look pretty" crap to us all. I got really mouthy with her one day and got kicked out of the class. It was one of the best days of my life.
Reply:Scripture never says that.

It says that they should not lead a church.
Reply:The verse you're looking for is out of context with what you're trying to make it into.

Men and women are equal in the Bible (Eph 4). Deborah was a judge in Israel. Priscilla taught Paul. Junias was a deaconess. I'm glad to study more about this with you via email if you like.
Reply:do you want the verses that explain that girls are also inferior and nothing more than objects too?

instead of bringing verses into play... you should teach them common sense.

people dont like religion forced upon them, so when it does happen it pushes them away from that person and that religion overall.
