Please recommend a good study bible with references?

I need to purchase a good one, with some scholarly details--not just parallel bibles. I would like a nice concordance, or literary styles of interpretations, if necessary. Like the ones used in Divinity schools. Thanks.

Please recommend a good study bible with references?
The Harper Collins Study Bible is one of the best there is. Some people complain that it is too liberal, though.
Reply:I recommend a KJV Thompson-Chain Reference Bible.
Reply:Strongs Exhaustive Concordance; The Interlinear Bible; The New Defender's Study Bible; The King James Version Bible. I would also recommend some excellent Lexicons
Reply:for all intents and purposes, use the reference bible collection of scriptures compiled in the 'dark bible' so you don't hopscotch all around and miss these gems that show where our American Values come from

Raping And Killing

"Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished." (Isaiah 13:15-16)

These verses foretold the deaths of the people of Babylon. Fortunately not everyone in Babylon (now modern Iraq) fell by the sword or had their children dashed to pieces or their wives raped (just another instance of errors in the Bible). How some people who believe in an infallible Bible can accept these verses as God inspired, or morally uplifting can only give evidence to the blinding nature of belief. For if we believe these words as God inspired, then the killing of children and the raping of wives must also come as an inspiration from the Supreme Being.
Reply:Personally I like the New International Version study Bible.
Reply:One of the guidelines for translating six bibles into the seventh bible was to avoid including dangerous helps.

You don't need a con-cordance to study allegory clues.

For allegory study I find the authorized KJV is the best.

Holy Bible does NOT think for you; DOES make you think.

Try thinking from "the end" that is already Pauline written:

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Reply:My husband and I each study in a NKJV Nelson study Bible. It has a wonderful concordance, along with introductions to each book that are very well done, and notes and additional information that we prefer even over MacArthur. It also comes in other translations, like the NIV, etc.

www.christianbooks.com I believe has them on sale right now. I would never give up this Bible, and no longer use another along side, as I use to with my previous Bible.

God Bless you. I'm sure God will lead you to the right one.
Reply:You need to go to a good Bible store and look some over... I prefer Ryrie But there are others... unless you are really into deep heavy study one like the Ryrie Study Bible will do.... otherwise you will need more than just the Bible... a seperate concordance / Thesauraus and perhaps a Strongs Number concordance... lots and lots of different study Bibles out there... perhaps get with your Pastor also and with others who are into deeper study than just the "Sunday School" level.
Reply:I recommend the Key Word Bible, it comes with a mini

concordance, chaldean dictionary, and both Old and New

Testament Lexacon as well as subject studies.

I have been using it in ministry for 7 years, and love it.

God Bless you.
