I'm looking for a new topic to study with my Bible study group?

what's your favorite topic

or what is your favorite book of the Bible

I'm looking for a new topic to study with my Bible study group?
Ask the HOLY SPIRIT. You can not go much further than that. If you ask HIM then He can help you to get excited about what you are teaching.

go to Beth Moore study and search her bible studies. Right now I am going through one that is awesome. it is called Stepping up... a journey through the psalms of ascent.... By Beth Moore. www.lifeway.com

God bless you as you study Gods word...!!
Reply:I like the book of Revelation. Not only is it a peek into the future (from Gods perspective), but the message is ultimately one of the best in the Bible. We get a glimpse of the reward for finishing the race, and some very good advise for us to use along the way. Most importantly, it is VERY relevant to what is going on in the world today, and what to expect as it continues. It would also be interesting to supplement it with visits to the Book of Daniel, as the mysteries there are further clarified in Revelation. Good luck!
Reply:the whole Noah account is just fabulous, from the assignment he had, to how big the ark really was, how the flood waters came, where they came from, how much water and how high the waters really reached, where all that water went and how long it took to recede, not to mention the animals, its just a great topic to research !!

If you are into the historical / prophetic account, learning and studying the book of Daniel and Isaiah and how many of the propehecies have been fulfilled and which ones are being fulfilled now, in our time is just really amazing to see and prove to yourself how true the Bible really is.

great question !!

* Don't forget to pray before your study, ask God for a portion of his holy spirit to be upon you guys so you can really understand the material you are studying. *
Reply:If I may, let me recommend the Gospel of Matthew as appropriate for our time.

No two people are the same. A learning group is better than learning alone.

But each member is likely to have different ideas about which concepts there are most vital.

Nevertheless, if you read each chapter together, alternating readers every few verses or natural pause of topic, and you let each person going around the circle voice any offerings for the group...

If you have a Moderator to preclude argument, and if you work together for some weeks and months...

You will learn greatly from each other, far, far more than one could learn alone.

And if it is difficult at first, do not be discouraged. All personalities are potentialy harmonious.

But no new group works perfectly at inception.

It is worth persistence.

Even better if you ask the angels and the Holy Spirit to lead everyone there and the whole group into the light of truth.

But everyone must agree to these objectives, and trust in the results of sincere effort along these lines.

Trusting that God has made progress possible, male, female, any race, any nationality, regardless of circumstances of origin here on earth.

I have been such a group member, so I know that the few things listed here work, exactly as stated.

A little initial care and persistence is neeeded for any group. Experienced business or military men who have organized any new group can also verify that.

Harmony rises with time and duration. Even brotherhood and sisterhood develop.

You meet at some members house, each brings some small refreshment, as planned, for the break.

Three hours once a week is the usual, not counting refreshment time.

That is much similar to Jesus' method with the beginning Apostles.

My experience is that such groups should be limited to 7--12 members. Often one or more cannot attend and the remaining number is just right for the purpose. Under 7 is too small and more than 12 is too large.

Wednesday evenings or Saturdays afternoon or evening are best, but times should maximize the convenience to all participants. Some people have shift work, some must work weekends, some may be called away suddenly.

Such meetings enable a 360 degree view when seven or more attendees are there. This is because we each have a circumscribed and finite view.

Even when we are perfected the custom will be to gather a group of seven for obtaining the maximum 360 degree viewpoint on any topic of importance.

If someone is a good writer, they should keep notes and do a summary because you will discover much that is extremely worth recording and sharing.

God has made us such that we naturally work together and obtain the best results possible in this manner.

Remember you are there to share your own individual best light, not as an evangelist for some particular church.

Agree on the reading for the next meeting, the time and the location before breaking up.

You know it is really working well when every member wants to be there if at all possible and everyone leaves feeling great because progress has been made.

The angels hover over such meetings. And you cannot reallly tell the end of the good that may be produced for the world, or where your group may be led.

Try it and you will see that all said here is true. The members are all equal and of whatever sex and age. I think the worst mistake would be to restrict a group to some particular age range.

The ONLY common characteristic will be that each person there is a seeker of truth.

God did NOT intend for us all to be the same. Thus there are many flowers, not one. And many intruments compose the symphony orchestra.

God wants UNITY not uniformity. You may continue meetings with wise moderator or change for a better choice, but each meeting needs a moderator whose principle function is to forestall disputes or violation of the foregoing pattern. After some practice you will all get this right.

The purpose is to follow the truth to great treasures of knowledge and wisdom. That goal is far more important than even the Bible, which is primarily a means of communicating the very same light from others.

Do not hide your light under a bushel basket, seek the light! Everyone can have light! That is what God intended.

Not for us to be foamy mouthed doctrinal evangelists for a particular group that condemns all others....

It is so beautiful, why not try it? God bids all to come and He does not exclude anyone!

Reply:I read the Left Behind books I know that it is a fictional story but it follows Revelations really well that and i thin we all can use a heads up on what is going to happen if we are not called up with him in the Rapture
Reply:Maybe study the reasons why St Paul did not mention or refer to any of Jesus history, miracles and teachings prior to the days leading up to his execution.
Reply:i am serious latley i was really intestead in like comparing the way the reall earth is by how God made it and by how ppl like scients prove it wrong like evolution based
Reply:Compare the 22 Psalms with Christ's crucifixtion. What does this say about God's plan to redeem man from sin?
Reply:Total depravity. Once you have a handle on that nothing anybody does is surprising anymore.
Reply:genissesissiess
Reply:If you want something deep then try the book of Daniel.
Reply:I like the story of Job.

It teaches us to never lose our faith in the Lord, even in hard times.
